Mission Statement

Our goal is to provide the most comprehensive, individualized, and positive dermatologic care for patients of all ages and skin types. By empowering patients through education, we will foster the general health of the individual, the family, and the community in a modern and eco-friendly environment.

Provider

Dr. Bhatt is a board-certified Dermatologist, Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of Austin Dermatologic Society, Travis County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association.

Education:

Undergraduate degree: Harvard University, cum laude, BA in Biology, emphasis on Neurobiology, 1996
Neurology/Neurobiology Research at the Children’s Hospital in Boston and the Massachusetts General Hospital, 1993-1997
Medical School: State University of New York, Health Science Center at Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. MD, summa cum laude, Junior AOA (alpha omega alpha) member. 1997-2001
Medical Internship: Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Greenwich Village in Manhattan, NY from 2001-2002 (primary medical center during “9-11”)
Residency in Dermatology: SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn, NY, from 2002-2005

From 2005 to 2007, she was in private practice in Manhattan and Long Island, NY, and also was a Clinical Assistant Professor for the North Shore University Hospital.
After moving from NYC to the Four Points area in northwest Austin in 2007, she saw a need in this community and beyond for further comprehensive dermatologic care…thus begins the start of Four Points Dermatology.

Dr. Bhatt brings much experience from her years in a multitude of private and academic practices, providing care for patients of all ethnicities and ages.

Aside from being happily married with two young children, Dr. Bhatt enjoys thinking of free time, running, traveling, and re-reading the Harry Potter series.

Our Staff

Office Manager – Lauren Baker

Lauren comes to Four Points Dermatology with over five years experience in the Dermatology field and is extremely excited to be an integral part of getting this new office up and running. Lauren is honored to have such a wonderful and caring husband, and precious daughter. In her “free” time she enjoys reading (espcially Agatha Christie mysteries), sudoku, and watching old musicals.

Lead Medical Assistant – Michelle Contreras

Michelle comes to our office with over five years experience as a medical assistant in both Plastic Surgery and Dermatology. She is excited to bring her experience to Four Points Dermatology and looks forward to becoming an RN. She has a wonderful husband of 12 years and three active boys. Michelle enjoys spending time with her friends and family and watching UT football.

Receptionist – Olivia Garza

Olivia recently joined the team at Four Points Dermatology and is excited about working along side such great people. She enjoys spending time with her two nephews as well as family and friends (she and Lauren, the office manager, have been friends for over 14 years!). Olivia enjoys watching TV, cheering on the Houston Texans, reading, the History Channel and Food Network, and shopping at Target.

Medical Assitant - Sharon Perkins

Sharon has been with Four Points Dermatology for a little while. Her guilty pleasure is watching reality TV. She has two children that keep her busy. Her team is the New York Jets and she bleeds green!

Green Building and Design

Just like you, Four Points Dermatology is dedicated to keeping our environment safe for future generations (Dr. Bhatt almost became an environmental scientist at Harvard!).

We have put much thought and effort into our hand-picked site, architectural plans, and building materials. Our goal is to increase work and resource efficiency to provide improved patient care while still being environmentally-conscious. We have also been working with the Austin Green Energy Building team during the construction phase of the office.

Sustainable (“Green”) features of the office:

Paperless electronic medical charting system
Sustainable bamboo wood floors
Recycled, LEED certified-flooring and counter top materials
Zero- or low-VOC and low formaldehyde-emitting paints and construction products
Energy efficient, compact fluorescent and fluorescent lighting
Occupancy sensor lights in intermittent usage rooms
LEED certified hand dryers in the bathrooms
LEED-certified water efficient plumbing (dual flush toilets and automatic sensor faucets)
High-efficiency air conditioning units with programmable thermostats
Timers on water heaters
Double-insulated windows
Additional insulation in the ceiling and walls for energy efficiency and patient privacy
In-office recycling centers
For future projects, we are looking into solar paneling if/when approved by the Association Board
